Over the last 5 years, Capgemini Invent has achieved continued growth and are now seeking to recruit experienced retail experts to support the continued expansion in the Consumer Products and Retail sector.

Our retail business brings together skills and expertise from across the Capgemini Invent capability units and works closely with other service lines across the Group. We oversee a portfolio which covers some of the biggest names in UK retail, across the apparel, grocery, GM and Quick Service Restaurant sub-sectors. As part of a joint sector unit with our Consumer Products business we work together where sector boundaries continue to blur with the rise of D2C and the face of traditional retail evolves. We believe in a ‘sustainable by default’ mindset, working closely with Capgemini Invent’s centre of excellence for sustainability to challenge our thinking and that of our clients.

Our most successful retail consultants generally bring:

1) Retail industry knowledge and experience

Our most impactful consultants are passionate about retail and have experience working within the retail sector. Expertise can be gained either through time spent working in large or progressive retailers, or through delivering projects for retail clients in a consulting context. We expect candidates to understand how the store/omnichannel function operates and how it impacts the wider end-to-end business landscape. We are looking for candidates from all retail sectors, including fashion, general merchandise and grocery.

2) Strategy and Transformation experience

As a senior manager or manager in our business you will play a pivotal role in the shaping and delivery of consulting engagements. We expect candidates to have a understanding of consulting project delivery approaches along with demonstrable success in the leadership of teams to deliver. You will have gained this experience in a consulting organisation or in an internal strategy / consulting team within a large retailer

Collaboration is key to our business and we require consultants at all grades to be confident and capable building relationships in our own and our clients’ businesses. We find resilience and a proactive attitude to learning is essential

Whilst you will have London, Manchester or Glasgow as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.

We offer a remuneration package which includes flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances and a variable element dependent grade and on company and personal performance.
