The Education Specialist delivers education expertise and support in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) for preparation providers and candidates to further grow Occupational English Test (OET) in the education sector.

About the role

This role is crucial as it connects the learning and preparation of candidates into the commercial environment to fulfill the commercial strategy of developing B2B and B2G projects with important stakeholders such as Health Education England as well as teacher training and candidate events.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

EMEA Education strategy & projects

  • Identify new opportunities with key stakeholders to embed OET and its preparation in the market
  • Promote OET to different education stakeholders at webinars and other events
  • Help with embedding OET Preparation courses into various institutes that support ESL healthcare professionals either directly with the institute or via OET Pathways
  • Support OET Pathway programmes throughout the NHS

Education Content

  • Delivering OET Preparation Days to support existing and prospective OET candidates
  • Develop Test Preparation and English for Healthcare educational resources.
  • Ensure existing education content is suitable for EMEA candidates.

Teacher training and relationship management

  • Creating teaching and other supporting documentation for OET Pathways to NHS stakeholders.
  • Running teacher webinars to provide professional development for OET Premium Provider teachers
  • Running OET Teacher Workshops to improve OET teacher skills.
  • Form and manage relationships with local education partners and schools

About you

As a specialist in teaching English as a second language, your experience in writing and reviewing Education content will be vital as an Education Specialist.

You will be empathetic and have the ability to build rapport with education stakeholders.

Key skills and experience for this role include:

  • Training and/or managing teachers
  • Curriculum development or design
  • A willingness to travel both locally and overseas
  • Teaching in a healthcare context
  • Teaching or managing an OET course.
  • Knowledge of the internationally trained nurse landscape, or experience with recruiters
  • The willingness and enthusiasm to promote benefits of OET to an education audience
