The role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Updating the product development team and wider sales team with key regulatory changes
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and creating product documentation of the products formulated within the business, including: Preliminary Finished Product Specifications, Finished Product Specifications, Change control documents & Specification Updates
  • To write articles on a specific topic for trade magazines
  • To identify and support in driving key areas of innovation specific to the industry sectors CC work within.
  • To support and advise customers and colleagues on making legal label claims
  • Supporting product development team, ensuring nutritious and legal/safe formulations
  • Calculating nutritional information when requested
  • Sharing of change control documents
  • Support with product innovation ideation.
  • Undertake product/ingredient research when required
  • Write articles relating to CC ingredients, for trade/industry targeted magazines
  • Answer ingredient/nutritional related questions from customers and colleagues where required

This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00am to 17:30pm) with hybrid working from home and the office (ideally at least 1 day in the Ely office per week but there is some flexibility).

The requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a relevant qualification and experience working within the food / nutritional supplement sector.

You will also have strong knowledge of:

  • regulatory requirements for food/beverage/nutritional supplements in the UK and EU
  • labelling regulations

Other essential skills and attributes that must also be met to be successful during our selection process include:

  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Excellent communicator
