Do you enjoy working as part of a team, want to learn new skills and have experience of a fast paced environment? If yes Burton's Biscuits need YOU to join our Llantarnam Bakery as a Part-Time Production Operative on a Permanent Contract.
As one of our Production Operatives (Packer) you will be working as part of the Operations Team carrying out all duties relating to packaging in the production area, supporting your colleagues and team leaders. You will pack the biscuits into boxes, place boxes onto pallets and keep the area clean and tidy. You will also remove reject biscuits from the production line. It’s a fast paced role and requires a certain level of fitness as it does have a large element of physical work in order to complete the tasks to a high standard. Attention to detail is key as we pride ourselves in the quality of our products.
You will be numerate, literate, flexible, self-motivated and be able to work with minimum supervision and use own initiative. Previous experience of working as part of a team is essential. Previous Food Manufacturing experience and a basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene is desirable, but not essential as training will be given including Food Hygiene level 2 qualification.
Location: Llantarnam Bakery, Cwmbran NP44 3YL
Hours: Part-Time. 27 Hours. Monday-Friday
Shift: Monday-Thursday 16:25-21:55 and Friday 14:30-19:30
Hourly Rate: Competitive
Contract: Permanent, Weekly Paid
