Job Title: Sample Handling Technician
Location: Witham, Essex
Salary: £21,695 + shift allowance
Role Purpose
Working in a fast-paced commercial laboratory, the successful candidate(s) will control the movement, storage and disposal of samples and the transportation of goods between different sites using a company van.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday - Working a weekly rotation of 6:00-13:00 and 13:00-20:00. Overtime available during busy periods paid at a premium rate.
Main Duties
- Responsible for maintaining the sample storage area.
- The transport of samples and equipment between sites using a company vehicle.
- To ensure safe working practices in line with HSE policy, Risk Assessment and COSHH procedures.
- Process high value samples and the disposal of low-level samples.
- To assist with the delivery of samples into the company.
Candidate Profile/Required Experience
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Flexible and willing to analyse the role to make positive changes where you see fit.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to work independently and manage your own time.
- Must have a valid UK driving licence.
- Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial but not necessary.
- Be comfortable working at height.
- Fit and able to work on your feet all day.
- Able to lift boxes up to 20kg
- Full training will be provided.
