Brook Street Social Care is hiring for a local homeless hostel based in Northwich, Cheshire.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who may be looking to step into the sector and is passionate about helping the most vulnerable members of our community.
What we look for:
- Experience of working within a hostel setting or supported living facilities
- Understanding of hopelessness and ability to show compassion
- Or transferable skills
- Ideally six months experience in care within the past year or one year within the past five.
What you'll be doing:
The 28-bed hostel is based in Northwich, it's a relaxed service with friendly staff. On shift, you may be assisting the service users access services on the computer or walking around the service to check everything is in order. The main thing is engaging with the service users and being that friendly face that they can come to.
Hours:
You can work as little or as much as you want, we know life can get busy, so we're completely flexible around you. We have plenty of work to go round, with many of our candidates working for us for many years.
You'll be paid weekly, paid hourly at £11.00; there's also the opportunity for temp to perm if you wish.
There's a train station near the hostel or if you drive, a car park.
We have a mixture of days or night (08:00 - 20:00 and 20:00 - 08:00) You can do either or a mix, whichever suits you.
