Placed with the Client Services department you will be part of the team that supports our clients and enables us to deliver great results. This role will also focus on growing Bigwave through business development/sales.

You will attend Exeter College one day per week during term time to achieve the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.

As a key support to Client Service colleagues you will be helping to complete client projects in a timely manner.

On a weekly basis you are likely to be making outbound calls to engage new and existing clients, be booking appointments staff to follow up, support the workflow of client projects by updating jobs, projects or undertaking tasks and gaining training and experience in Sales and Marketing.

Training and career personal development will be provided but the following abilities are desirable:

  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Motivated and inquisitive in nature
  • Basic computer skills: word processing and email.
  • An interest in marketing channels or techniques

The following outlines some key examples. Support and training will be provided across all duties.

  • Ensure client activity (artwork requests, amends and sign offs) are registered and managed through the company database.
  • Review submitted job briefs/amends to ensure they contain relevant technical information and final text for designers to work from them.
  • Ensure new jobs are individually assigned a unique number and that the deadline for completion is indicated to the studio.
  • Assist and provide designers with additional materials (i.e. logos and text) as required and to source these as required.
  • Ensure that work undertaken meets a suitable standard.
  • Answer the telephone and direct callers to the appropriate individuals.
  • Make calls to potential prospects or clients, with the goal of setting appointments for staff to follow up.
  • Support agency and client marketing delivery across a range of channels such as email, SMS and outreach.
  • Provide administrative support, such as producing reports and taking notes.
  • Task in website amends using our ticket system.
  • Liaise with third parties and to place orders/source information for clients as required.
  • Maintain and monitor our priority email account (where overflow work is first sent).
