The Position:

We are looking for a professional security guard to protect our people, customers, premises, and product. As a Beyond Retro Security Guard, you will be expected to be service-oriented, friendly and welcoming to customers while safeguarding our store.

You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions.

You will be ensuring Beyond Retro is an inclusive and safe space.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring the shop floor
• Carry out Company Policy on loss prevention
• Providing a visible deterrent within the store against theft, anti-social behaviour, violence and criminal activity
• Greeting Customers
• Completing reports by recording observations, incident reports,
• Engaging with police and staff to improve service levels - this may include crime partnership meetings, shop watch schemes and police meetings
• Deal with confrontational situations in a calm, sensitive and professional manner
• Checking exits are locked end of the day
• Understand and implement any evacuation procedures

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies

• A valid SIA licence (SG or DS) (Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applications from non-licence holders.)
• Excellent communication & customer service skills
• A good standard of verbal and written English.
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Professional in approach, with a balanced sense of judgement and a keen eye for detail
• Retail security: 2 years (Required)
• An entire three-year checkable employment history

Shifts: Monday - Saturday (11:00 – 19:00) Sunday (12:00-18:00)

Full and part-time available. Must be able to work 1 day at the weekend.

Pay: £ 11-12 per hour

Location: Dalston, London

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
