Domestic Electrician

Bedford Electrical Services Ltd are looking for a Qualified Domestic Electrician to join us.

Key Roles-

• Conducting EICR and Remedial works in domestic homes (occupied and void)
• General domestic electrical works inc. apartment communal works (emergency lighting, fire alarms, door entry etc.) *Training and guidance provided where needed.
• Breakdowns / call outs
• New installs

Needs-

• Competent with domestic heating systems install and fault finding / rectification (ASHP Bonus).
• Competent with inspecting and testing.
• Excellent communication skills, mannerism and professionalism around clients, tenants and associates.
• A strong can do attitude with a high level of motivation
• A clean driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
• To be able to liaise with clients and office staff.
• Reliable.

Qualifications-

• Gold Card/ECS Card
• NVQ Level 3
• Inspect and Test
• Other Qualifications desirable.

Days - Monday - Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) *weekends also available on request

Hours- 08:00 - 17:00

About us-

We carry out planned, preventive and reactive maintenance works across the private rented sector looking after homes throughout Bedfordshire for a number of clients, letting agents and private landlords.

We carry out remedial and additional works to Homes and Apartment buildings (communal areas / plant rooms).

We also are heavily involved in the new build housing sector for private builders and national PLC Builders, developments from bespoke one off homes to multi-phase sites. From time to time you will be required to carry out works on new build sites, mainly, site temps, finals, Snagging, customer care and testing, (currently a distance between Stevenage and Corby) full CSCS / ECS card will be needed for this.

All jobs will be scheduled to you via SimPro, a software we use where full training will be provided, these will be scheduled by someone in the office where you may be required to attend from time to time in Elms Farm Industrial Estate, Bedford.

Self Employed position currently available, PAYE position considered.
