Our delivery community is part of the BBC’s Product Group responsible for the design, development and delivery of the BBC’s diverse portfolio of digital products. Loved and used by millions these are some of the largest and highest profile digital products in the UK. Our teams build iPlayer, Sounds, BBC News, Sport, Childrens, Bitesize and supporting services. Main Responsibilities

As a Delivery manager, you may support delivery across one or more agile teams.

You will do this by:

  • Contributing to and maintaining great agile working environments for your team or teams
  • Making sure your team understand their mission, vision and goals, and that these align across the organisation
  • Planning, communicating and visualising progress towards these goals
  • Managing and addressing risks, issues and dependencies
  • Engaging with key stakeholders on delivery progress and challenges
  • Continually improving delivery methods and approaches to team working
  • Establishing relationships and effective cross team collaboration
  • Encouraging the teams to be self-organising
  • Actively participating in the wider agile delivery management community
  • Learning, sharing and applying skills and knowledge to improve
Are you the right candidate?

The successful candidate will:

  • A track record of successfully delivering complex digital projects and products
  • Understanding of agile and lean methodologies and how they help deliver products and services
  • Have demonstrable experience delivering digital products and services using agile methods
  • Have knowledge of a variety of agile practices and how best to apply these
  • Be a team player and active listener who can give clear, actionable feedback, allowing you to build trust, manage complex team dynamics, and motivate everyone to work towards a common goal.
  • Have demonstrable experience in matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams and be able to influence, bridge specialisms and navigate ambiguity.
  • Support effective budget and supplier management as required
