Position overview:
As a permanent night shift Warehouse Operative, you’re a key member of the Kettering Team, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. You will contribute to the success of Ball by carrying out all essential warehouse duties to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
- Assists with direct support to all departments in the plant via material handling.
- Facilitates the transportation of inbound and outbound shipments of products and materials.
- Reviews completed drayage tickets and bills of lading for completeness and accuracy prior to distribution.
- Facilitates shipments of finished products and scrap.
- Follows all standard operating procedures for area of responsibility.
- Assists with reporting the inventory status of finished goods and packaging materials.
- Maintains good housekeeping in the warehouses and related areas
- 12-hour shifts, 4on/4off
Experience and skills required:
- Relevant MHE license with at least 2 years of experience
- Ability to follow instructions, attention to detail
- Sound communication skills, ability to clearly explain processes.
- Ability to operate and functionally use a computer.
- Fluency in written and spoken English
