Architectural Technician

About us

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Technician to join our team on a freelance basis.

Either already employed and looking for some extra work or self-employed and looking for additional adhoc work considered. This may become a full-time permanent postion for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to the architectural team, including drafting plans, conducting research, and preparing reports. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of building regulations and construction techniques, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about architecture and wants to make a difference in the industry. Any experience in visiting site and in project management would also be advantagious.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting plans and drawings for construction projects.
• Creating 3D models of proposed designs.
• Analyse building codes and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Conducting site visits to assess existing structures.
• Carrying out measured building surveys.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and preferably Revit.
• Assisting with the development of project budgets and timelines.
• Working with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
• Providing technical support to architects and engineers.

Ideally candidates will be within an hour of Lincoln to meet up occasionally and to oversee projects on site, but further afield will also be considered.
