About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for Graduate MRI Radiographer to join us at this busy static site in Colchester – the Turner Diagnostic Centre. The Turner Diagnostic centre is a new purpose-built multi-modality imaging centre which opened in 2018, and is based in the grounds of the Colchester General Hospital, a busy NHS site which currently has 15 radiographers working across 4 MRI scanners

If you are a newly qualified radiographer, then this is the opportunity for you. This is a dynamic role working across all modalities, Alliance Medical have a robust clinical competency framework and can provide the essential training you will need in MRI/CT and PET-CT. You will follow our Graduate training scheme and clinical competency pathway and be supported on this pathway by our mentors and assessors.

You will be working with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers/Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, HCA’s, and administrative staff.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Radiographer to work 40 hours per week. The successful applicant will not need experience with MRI imaging procedures although this may be an advantage. The unit operates 7 days per week 12hrs per day with a varied case mix. Flexibility is required as you will be working as part of a small dynamic team.

Required Skills and Experience

We are looking for Radiographers with a minimum of 12 months of experience and ideally some experience in cross sectional imaging.

You will also be required to IV cannulate patients as part of the role. Rest assured, should you not have any prior experience in IV cannulation, Alliance Medical will provide full training.
