SMS Coordinator
Purpose of the Role

Support the effective coordination of SMS activities across AirTanker.
Effectively administer the suite of AirTanker SMS BowTie Analyses.
Produce statistics, reports and indicators on the company’s safety performance.
Coordinate the SMS Safety governance meetings.
Administration of the Compliance and SMS software programme.
Job Responsibilities

• Administer the AirTanker suite of BowTie analyses ensuring their integrity, accurate update and issue using the BowTieXP software.
• Administration and development of the BowTieXP software.
• Produce statistics, reports and indicators on the company’s safety performance.
• Support the Fatigue Management System, including the recording and follow up of fatigue reports.
• Support the hazard analysis process for identified hazards e.g. via utilisation of BowTie methodology and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) through regular reviews.
• Support the development of an effective Safety Culture, fostering our Just and Learning Culture.
• Support the development and implementation of safety initiatives and campaigns.
• Co-ordinate and participate in the AirTanker safety governance meetings to support effective management of all safety related issues.
• Administration of the Compliance and SMS software programme.
• Operate as an integral member of the Compliance Team, contributing effectively to all business matters.
• Carry out any other duties at the request of the SMS Officer and/or Safety Manager.

• Database management skill
• Attention to detail
• Ability to analyse and collate data and produce reports
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Demonstrated ability to take decisions within area of responsibility and a commitment to on-going professional development
• Previous experience of working in a customer focused role and/or environment
• Excellent computer literacy skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerpointDesirable job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment

• Experience of risk evaluation and analysis methodologies and techniques
• Experience in working with Safety Management Systems
• Experience in aviation related safety management activities (including safety occurrence reporting systems and Hazard Identification and Analysis).
• Excellent computer literacy skills in PowerBI.
