As a team:

This is a fabulous opportunity to join a fast paced, innovative Cyber Security business, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will join a team of talented infrastructure engineers with a focus on BAU delivery. This is both an internal and occasionally client facing .

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will:

• Be responsible for BAU deliverables such as Faults, Tickets, Reporting, Auditing, Patching, Day-To-Day System Housekeeping and Upgrades.

• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux systems.

• Manage and maintain Storage and Network platforms.

• Manage and maintain Virtualisation platforms (VMware)

• Manage and maintain Security systems such as IDS/IPS, SIEM and EDR

• Help develop better ways of working and automation were possible.

• Develop documentation and process for the BAU function following internal engineering standards / best practise.

• Participate in an On-Call rota (typically one week in four but on occasion more often during sickness and leave)

The following skills and experience are required for this role:

• Networking experience (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalling, Routing)

• Scripting Skills (PowerShell, PhP, Python etc)

• Virtualisation Technologies (VMware, HyperV)

• Linux Administration (Centos, Ubuntu)

Set yourself apart:

• Working knowledge of Azure

• Security Software (Such as AV, SIEM, IDS, IPS, SOAR)

• Database Management (SQL, MySQL, Elastic)

• System Backup Software (SCCM etc)

• System Monitoring (Solar Winds, Cacti Etc.)

• Physical Hardware Experience (Deploying rack mount servers, configuring them etc)

• Storage systems (VNX, Dell StorageWorks, ISCSI, Fiber channel etc)

• ITIL Aware

• SIEM experience (ideally LogRhythm, Splunk, Elastic SIEM, SOAR Technologies such as Cortex or Azure Sentinel)

• PKI, SSL/TLS Certificate Understanding.
