Production Operative

We currently have permanent opportunities for Production Operatives to join the team in Willand, Devon. You can either join the Added Value, Portions or Wholebirds teams. We have a variety of shifts available so you can find something to suit your needs.

• These posts include the following shift patterns:

05:30 - 14:30, Monday to Friday

OR

05:00 - 15:15, 4 days a week (3 weekly rotating shift pattern)

OR

15:30 - 0:00, Monday to Friday

The rate of pay is from £10.95 - £11.95 per hour depending on the skill level of the role.

Working within a chilled factory environment, you will be handling raw meat. Your key responsibilities will be to process and pack food products for top retail customers in a busy factory environment.

Within the Added Value teams you will be working with portions of the bird including the breast, leg, thigh and drumsticks which are used for our BBQ, seasonal products. You will be packing the chicken on a production line, meeting the standards of our customers.

Within the Wholebirds team, you will be working with the entire bird, ensuring it is packaged correct for our customers and meeting all hygiene standards required. Like the other roles, you will just need to be comfortable handling raw meat.

We also have other skilled roles available that includes operating our packaging and labelling machines or ensuring the smooth running of cutting machines.

No experience is necessary as we just need you to have a willingness to learn.

We have high standards regarding H&S, quality and food safety so you will be given the relevant training within your induction to help us maintain those standards. This training includes L1 and L2 Health and Safety certification.

This is a fast paced environment so once you have grasped the duties we would expect you to work at a quick pace.
